File name conventions for MFRSR derived data.


An example file name is
mfrsr_uv454_raw_2001-11_clh.txt


it is of the form
DeviceType_SerialNumber_DataType_Year-Month_Location.txt

DeviceType = MFRSR (MultiFilter Rotating Shadowband Radiometer)

SerialNumber = 244, 378, 379, 550 all (visible), or uv454 (ultraviolet)

DataType = irrad (irradiance W/m**2), raw (millivolts)

Year-Month = date YYYY-MM

Location = clh (Chesapeake Light House), 
           MLO (Mauna Loa Hawaii), or 
           lrc (Langley Research Center)

Note: 
Some files also contain the string “up-welling” 
indicating the instrument was mounted in the down looking 
position measuring upwelling data. 
This data could be used to determine spectral albedo.
