Data Format and Sample Read Programs

Data Format. The LITE Level 1 data are organized as a series of data structures which contain:

• time and location parameters,
• instrument status information,
• validity flags, and
• the 355 nm, 532 nm, and 1064 nm lidar profiles.

A description for each data parameter is contained in the Format Description Document.

Sample Read Programs. Example programs written in IDL and the C Programming Language to read the LITE Level 1 data are contained in the IDL Example Program Document and the C Example Program Document, respectively.
