NASA African Monsoon Multidisciplinary Analyses

LARGE scientists used the NASA DC-8 in August 2006 to study the formation and evolution of tropical hurricanes in the Atlantic and their impact on the U.S. They were also interested in whether aerosols affect cloud precipitation and influence cyclone development.
